Joining

This is the section everyone looks for. How to join the federation.

Step 0: This may be completed at any point between Step 1 or Step 4. Sign up on the forum.

Step 1: Read the rules, make sure to have a basic grasp in mind of how things are done and run around here.

Step 2: Fill out the character application. Once it's filled out, send it to legendarywrestling@gmail.com

Step 3: Watch the Roster. Once you send in your application, it will be sent to the admins, who will then look it over, discuss your entry and when you are accepted, you will see your wrestler's entry into the roster. In addition, you may or may not be contacted by an admin as confirmation, or to clear up some discrepancies with your application.

Step 4: Once you're confirmed, begin socializing. The next show from the date you joined will likely have your wrestler's name on the card.

Step 5: When you see your wrestler's name on the card, begin roleplaying.

It's as easy as that. Any questions, post them in the FAQ or LWF Specific sections of the forum, contact an administrator or moderator, or e-mail legendarywrestling@gmail.com with your question.

Application

Handler Information

Handler Name: [Your actual name, or whatever you want us to call you.  No one really cares, as long as we have something to call you.]
Handler e-mail: [You probably don't need help with this one.]

Manager/Valet Information

[Feel free to ignore this section if you don't want your character to have a manager or valet.  A manager is generally someone who helps, or sometimes controls, the wrestler.  A valet is generally a walking set of breasts that accompanies said wrestler to the ring and offers helpful advice such as "Come on, baby!" and "Show him who's boss!" (don't, by the way, feel obliged to make your valet match that description).  It doesn't matter whether or not you include one, but if you want to, feel free.  Try to avoid having both a manager and a valet, unless you really feel that it's necessary for your character]

Manager Name:
Manager Age:
Manager Gender:
Male/Female
Manager Personality: (Optional, even if you want to have a manager.  A few brief sentences are recommended, though.)
Manager History: (Optional, even if you want to have a manager.)
Manager Physical Description: (Required.  Briefly describe your manager's appearance in a few sentences.)

Valet Name:
Valet Age:
Valet Gender:
Male/Female
Valet Personality: (Optional, even if you want to have a valet.  A few brief sentences are recommended, though.)
Valet History: (Optional, even if you want to have a valet.)
Valet Physical Description: (Required.  Briefly describe your valet's appearance in a few sentences.)

Wrestler Information

[This is the important stuff.  Some of it is optional, but we recommend you put in at least a little bit for all sections, except the moves list section which will be mentioned later.]

Personal Information

Wrestler Name: [The wrestler's actual name, or alias.  Any nicknames will be listed below.  Eg: "Steve Austin", "Undertaker", "Sting"]
Nickname(s): [Any nicknames or monikers the wrestler may have that are not their actual name.  Eg: "Stone Cold", "The Deadman", "The Icon"]
Billed From: [Your wrestler's home town, or something that works with their character.  For example, Black Reign is billed "from the darkest corner of his mind!", even though that's clearly not his hometown.]
Wrestler Age: [The wrestler's age.  Try not to be unrealistic.  A twelve-year-old would never be able to wrestle in a federation, nor would a 70-year old man.]
Wrestler Height: [The wrestler's height.  Go as nuts as you want, but remember that whether or not your guy is seven feet tall will not in any way affect the outcome of any match.]
Wrestler Weight: [The wrestler's weight.  Just apply some common sense and you should be fine.]
Wrestler Alignment: [Face/Heel/Tweener.  In case you're not hip with the wrestling lingo, a Face is a good guy, a Heel is a bad guy, and a Tweener is more of a middle-of-the-road guy.]
Entrance Theme: [The music that'll play when the wrestler enters the ring. It can be anything you want it to be, from actual song to melody.]
Entrance: [The wrestler's entrance into the ring. This is an established structure we're in, so it can be as flashy as you want, as long as it's possible.]
Wrestler Personality: [Basically, what does your guy act like?  Is he a prick?  Is he a naive, friendly superhero type?  Remember, in wrestling, the personalities are often larger than life; but you'll win a lot of points for creating a well-developed, thought-out character who's fairly deep as opposed to pulling up some old wrestling stereotype.  Also, don't be afraid to embrace an old wrestling stereotype, just be aware that you'll be expected to make that character your own and flesh him or her out more than what you've seen on TV.]
Wrestler History: [This is not required, but a brief background is at least recommended.  Where does your guy come from?  Is there anything significant in his (or her) past that has made them who they are today?  The history can really help to flesh out your character, so if you've got anything, write it down.]
Wrestler Physical Appearance: [Describe how your character looks, what he wears, etc.  Don't go too nuts with this one.  Just tell us how he looks and what he wears.]

Wrestler Moves

[Please note that all of this except the finishing move is absolutely optional, and is not in any way necessary.  It is merely a space provided for people who have a fairly broad wrestling knowledge to write out the moves they'd like their character to use.]

Finisher Name: [Put the name of your finisher here.  It can either be the name of the actual maneuver (eg. The Undertaker's Tombstone Piledriver) or it can be an invented name of an actual move (eg. Sting's Scorpion Death Drop, which is actually an Inverted DDT).  If you do have a renamed move, please list it like this: Scorpion Death Drop (Inverted DDT).  Also, try to only have maybe three finishers at most, perhaps with one of those finishers reserved for high-profile matches or something.]

Finisher Description: [Please give a general description of your finisher here.  This is so that people who don't know much about wrestling terminology can know what your move looks like.  If you are one of those people, feel free to e-mail one of the administrators asking for some help with your finisher.]

Wrestling Style: [If you don't want to list out a bunch of moves your wrestler would use, you can just write down their general fighting style here.  This is completely optional, but we do recommend you at least describe your wrestler's fighting style, to help us write your matches.]

Signature Moves: [You can put down anywhere from one to six moves that your wrestler routinely uses in his matches here.  A few can be unique or innovated moves, but try not to go nuts with this.  For example, The Undertaker's "Old School" is a move synonymous with the deadman and usually gets a reaction from the crowd, but it is rarely, if ever, used to finish a match.]
